DescriptionThe building, opened in 1903, contained the municipal offices and library, reading rooms.
The hall on the right hand side of the building measured 76 feet x 52 feet, seated 1,000 and had a stage measuring 26 feet x 56 feet.
It was lit with electric light from a power plant on the premises.
The hall was demolished in the late 1970s because of structural problems.
