"Kamo Sanatorium, Kamo Springs Bath Houses
Sanatorium at Kamo Springs, originally used as an accommodation house. In 1900 it was altered to become a sanatorium. During World War I, the building was used as an auxiliary hospital for troops invalided home, with facilities for 50 soldiers at a time. Later known as the Kamo Convalescent Home, used for vocational training for disabled soldiers until 1921. Finally turned into tearooms in 1936.
